This business was under offer and has an exceptional bank commitment on an SBA loan that enables a quick close for a highly qualified individual. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a seasonal business during the peak of cash flow. Those that qualify and can close quickly will be prioritized.

Started in 2000 by a husband-and-wife team, this business sells DIY tuning products via their website and on Amazon that meet the needs of most skiers and snowboards. They have positioned the brand and products at price points below Olympic-level products while still offering comparable quality. This is a seasonal business, generating 90% of revenue during the ski and snowboard season between Q4 and Q1. The 2021-22 season generated $2.181M in revenue and $486K in SDE. Revenue grew 33% from the 2019-20 to the 2020-21 season, and 3% from the 2020-21 to 2021-22 season. SDE has outpaced revenue growth due to a focus on profitable sales channels and own-brand products.

From the beginning, the website has been a resource hub for DIY snow sport tuning through its extensive library of educational content. As a result, 85% of website traffic is from organic and direct traffic sources.

During the 2021-22 season, Amazon accounted for 65% of revenue, while 35% of revenue came via the website. Amazon revenue was achieved with extremely low advertising spend, showcasing the strength of the brand and the quality of the products. Customers love the products, with most products sold on Amazon displaying five-star reviews on search results pages.

The company sells its own branded products along with other high-quality brands. In total, there are ~100 own-brand SKUs. The top 10 SKUs represent 70% of total revenue. The owners have focused on simplifying operations over the last few years by removing low-value sales channels and streamlining the supply chain by focusing on outsourcing more of their fulfillment.
